    If you keep a WordPress blog, this is an especially easy task, as Wordpress generates an RSS feed for you.

    Here is the plan - it’s incredibly easy and incredibly effective. Submit your RSS feed to RSS directories. You get backlinks from the directories themselves and even more when people plug your feeds into their sites and publish your content.

    You can submit them by hand or use software like RSSFeedSubmit.

    Having Your Own Software Coded

    Lately, I’ve been really into having my own software coded for me.  In some instances, it’s actually even cheaper than buying a commercial version - and you get it made exactly to your specs!

    Go on RentACoder.com and look around - they have a ratings system for coders, you get to talk extensively with coders who are bidding on your project before you choose a bid - and, best of all, there’s no obligation when you post a project.  If you decide to have it done by someone else or even just drop it altogether - no harm, no foul.

    Don’t take as long as I did to realize the value of custom software. :)
