Google Knol to Incorporate Audio!

Take that, Wikipedia! :D  Since when does the wiki talk to you?

I admit, for all the anticipation and fanfare, Google Knol has amounted to a whole lotta nuthin’ so far.  But, I believe that by continuing to innovate, Google Knol can become a patently cool resource.

Maybe I can find a Knol that will sing me to sleep. :D

Syndicate Kahuna - Get Free Blog Content With Syndicate Kahuna!

The makers of Traffic Kahuna and Portal Blog Feeder have done it again - only this time, they’ve created a truly kickass FREE service that auto-fills your blogs with content.  It’s called Syndicate Kahuna and it’s a killer concept.

Here’s how it works - there are people that want to distribute articles across a huge blog network to get lots of varied backlinks from lots of varied C Block IPs.  Coincidentally, there are also people that want to fill their blogs on autopilot with free, unique content.  Why not pair those two groups?  It’s a match made in heaven.

This is the genius behind Syndicate Kahuna - everyone gets what they need!

It’s very simple to add your blog to the Syndicate Kahuna network.  You just 1) sign up for an account and verify it, 2) download a simple script and install it in your blog’s root directory, and 3) fill in a simple form inside your account to add your blog.  Simple.  Less than three minutes, total.

Here’s the lowdown on the duplicate content issue, for people who are concerned about that, straight from the horse’s mouth:

This is a hot topic. There are a few measures that we have in place to protect you from duplicate content. There is a lot of confusion about duplicate content. Most people are under the false impression that by having a piece of content on your blog that also appears on someone elses blog, you will be penalized in the search engines. This is not the case.

Duplicate content can cause a problem when you have multiple pages on your website or blog that contain the exact same content. However, if you are still worried about duplicate content, here are some things to put your at ease when using Syndicate Kahuna.

  1. Our authors often submit several versions of the same article, to provide more unique content to the Syndicate Kahuna blog network. In fact, we encourage them to do so and provide a powerful tool to make it easy. This benefits both our authors and you as members. Quite simply, the more unique content is, the better is does within the search engines.
  2. To prevent blog burnout or thousands of blogs from receiveing the exact same content at the same time, we utilize a priorietary content and blog rotation system. You see, blogs (per category and/or keyword filter) are selected randomly to receive content. Not all blogs receive the same content. This “randomization” of syndication keeps blogs unique and doesn’t over saturate Syndicate Kahuna blogs with the exact same content.
  3. Plus, you can add your own custom written posts in combination with Syndicate Kahuna content to populate your blogs with even more uniqueness. ;-)

SIGN UP HERE and start filling your blogs with relevant, unique, search engine magnet content right now!

Current TV Gets Even Cooler - Watch Live Tweets During the Debate!

This, from Current.tv’s Hack the Debate page:

Current & Twitter have teamed up for the very first time to integrate real-time Twitter messages (aka “tweets”) over major portions of a live television broadcast.

Hack the Debate by adding your Twitter posts to our live broadcast of the 2008 Presidential Debates.

We will broadcast as many of your debate tweets as possible right over Obama & McCain, in real time, on our live broadcast.

Here’s how to get your tweets on the big screen…RIGHT NOW.

  1. 1. Register with Twitter.
  2. 2. Chime in by including “#current” in your tweet. Example:
“This discussion about universal healthcare makes me want to pop some pills! #current”
(Btw…. We won’t be able to air every single tweet on TV, but you can see all of the #current tweets by searching #current on Twitter search.
  3. 3. If you have any questions about participating, send us a tweet @current.
  4. 4. Tune-in to Current TV right now (see channels listed on right)
I hope this gives all of you ideas about ways to integrate tech to make your content more…well…no pun intended, but…CURRENT. :D

Today Is the Day! Netflix API Goes Public

I am very excited to see the uses that various app, plugin, and widget makers come up with utilizing the Netflix API.  I think it will be even MORE exciting when we find out how to use it to drive traffic and make money.

Currently Netflix doesn’t support affiliate linking to inner pages - AKA “deep linking” - only to their generic sign up page.  Sad.

Maybe this is step one in changing that, though!  FINGERS CROSSED!
