CyberSongs - Songs About Websites

So, embedding Kina’s Digg song last week got me thinking about other songs I’ve heard that are about websites.

Not to brag or anything, but I’m KIND of the Queen of the Theme mixtape. For instance, I have managed to collect 27 songs that are all either called “Melanie” or feature a major character named “Melanie” - I call that one “Narcissism.” :D My masterpiece to date, though, is “Rockin’ While Stalkin’” - songs about stalking or being stalked. :D

This mix I’ve put together here, I have to say, is pretty cool and I’m kinda proud of it, even though it only features 6 songs.

Enjoy!

Kina Grannis - Gotta Digg Here’s the song that gave me the idea in the first place. :D

Alana Taylor - The Twitter Song It talks about Twitter AND Facebook, and even mentions Mahalo Daily :D Triple Threat

IM Love - Raining Jane This song doesn’t talk about a specific website, but…how can you not include Raning Jane? IMPOSSIBLE! God, I hope you’re not my Dad. That’s all I’m sayin’.

The Myspace Song - Good Clean Fun They know how Emo kids feel. :D

I’m a Warrior - Steven Wagenheim Only song on the list dedicated to an IM forum. Come on eWealthers - catch up! Nebula/Jamie? Nothing? :D

YouTube (A Love Song) - David Choi A lot of people claim they see a little smile at the end. I don’t. :)

Ebay - Weird Al Yankovic (contributed by xmx)

Facebook Anthem - LLP81 (I don’t think this is a band, just people that make funny videos, but it’s DAMN funny! :D ) (contributed by Ian Wilcox)

Coming Soon, hopefully, will be The Internet Killed Bookmobile by ColinSick. :D

Did I Forget Any? Leave Them In The Comments, I’ll Amend the List!

Forum Commenter’s Business Meeting Part Deux

In a follow up to what is (quite awesomely or quite sadly, depending on how you look at it) by FAR the most popular post on my blog, here is CollegeHumor’s follow-up to the HILARIOUS Forum Commenter’s Business Meeting.

I have to say, I prefer the first, but the sequel is damn funny too.

Same warning as the last time - if you have delicate sensibilities, don’t even THINK about hitting play. If you do…PWN3D! :D

Forum Commenter’s Business Meeting

HILARIOUS video from College Humor - what a business meeting would be like if it were run like an internet marketing forum. :D

I will warn you - there is cussing. Don’t play it if you have delicate sensibilities.

Craigslist - “HELP! My Post Shows Green, But It Never Shows Up!”

Whether you’ve been posting on Craigslist to enhance your traffic and marketing efforts, or if you’ve even been frequenting internet marketing forums over the past few months, you’ve either experienced this problem or seen others complaining of it.

So what’s going on over at Craigslist? Is Craigslist OVER as a traffic source?

NO! Craigslist is still very much alive. I am still making up to $500 dollars a day on Craigslist.

If you are having trouble posting on Craigslist, you need to keep the following in mind: Craigslist tracks and blocks ads it doesn’t like based on the following factors - email or account, IP, ad copy, links contained in the ad.

Start from scratch, post an ad with a fresh email, fresh IP, fresh ad copy, and fresh link (or no link). Then slowly start posting ads that add back in each of those elements - in that way, you should be able to tell what was blocking you and purge it from your postings.

If you would like further information on making money on Craigslist, I have developed a free eCourse that you can sign up for here - Make Money on Craigslist.

Enjoy!

Swedish Woman has Fastest Residential Internet Connection in the World

Yesterday I told you that forums are your friend.  Today I’m gonna prove it.  :D  I picked up this little piece of weird and wonderful news at eWealth.

She is a latecomer to the information superhighway, but 75-year-old Sigbritt Lothberg is now cruising the Internet with a dizzying speed. Lothberg’s 40 gigabits-per-second fiber-optic connection in Karlstad is believed to be the fastest residential uplink in the world, Karlstad city officials said.

In less than 2 seconds, Lothberg can download a full-length movie on her home computer — many thousand times faster than most residential connections, said Hafsteinn Jonsson, head of the Karlstad city network unit.

Jonsson and Lothberg’s son, Peter, worked together to install the connection.

The speed is reached using a new modulation technique that allows the sending of data between two routers placed up to 1,240 miles apart, without any transponders in between, Jonsson said.

“We wanted to show that that there are no limitations to Internet speed,” he said.
Peter Lothberg, who is a networking expert, said he wanted to demonstrate the new technology while providing a computer link for his mother.
“She’s a brand-new Internet user,” Lothberg said by phone from California, where he lives. “She didn’t even have a computer before.”

His mother isn’t exactly making the most of her high-speed connection. She only uses it to read Web-based newspapers.

I think the fact that I actually got a physical sensation of jealousy when I read about her connection just goes to show that I should change the name of this website to InternetMarketingGEEK.com. :P

But it DID give me the idea to compile a list of “You might be an Internet Marketer if…” Jeff Foxworthy-style jokes.  Look for that coming soon to a blog posting near you! :D

Forums are your Friend!

Is there a better friend you can have in Internet Marketing than forums?  (Well, aside from my blog, of course…! :D)

Let’s take a look at the evidence.  Forums are a friend that…

- gives freely of advice and valuable information
- never expects anything in return
- if you do offer a gift of your own information, is exceedingly appreciative!
- will teach you everything you need to know to change your life drastically, if only you take the time to listen.

Nope, I don’t think you could find a better friend than an amazing forum on your journey to Internet Marketing Independence.

A couple of my favorites are eWealth and The Warrior Forum.

Enjoy!

A True Internet Marketer

This cartoon was posted by GRob324 at The Warrior Forum. Hilarious!

(I had to edit it to put the panels vertical so that it could be read…other than that, it’s original!)
