The makers of Traffic Kahuna and Portal Blog Feeder have done it again - only this time, they’ve created a truly kickass FREE service that auto-fills your blogs with content.  It’s called Syndicate Kahuna and it’s a killer concept.

Here’s the lowdown on the duplicate content issue, for people who are concerned about that, straight from the horse’s mouth:

This is a hot topic. There are a few measures that we have in place to protect you from duplicate content. There is a lot of confusion about duplicate content. Most people are under the false impression that by having a piece of content on your blog that also appears on someone elses blog, you will be penalized in the search engines. This is not the case.

Duplicate content can cause a problem when you have multiple pages on your website or blog that contain the exact same content. However, if you are still worried about duplicate content, here are some things to put your at ease when using Syndicate Kahuna.

1. Our authors often submit several versions of the same article, to provide more unique content to the Syndicate Kahuna blog network. In fact, we encourage them to do so and provide a powerful tool to make it easy. This benefits both our authors and you as members. Quite simply, the more unique content is, the better is does within the search engines.
2. To prevent blog burnout or thousands of blogs from receiveing the exact same content at the same time, we utilize a priorietary content and blog rotation system. You see, blogs (per category and/or keyword filter) are selected randomly to receive content. Not all blogs receive the same content. This “randomization” of syndication keeps blogs unique and doesn’t over saturate Syndicate Kahuna blogs with the exact same content.
3. Plus, you can add your own custom written posts in combination with Syndicate Kahuna content to populate your blogs with even more uniqueness.

I just received an email about this resource this morning from the folks over at NicheADay (a pretty dang amazing free resource itself!).

Article marketing, as many internet marketers know, is a fantastic way to increase your traffic, search engine rankings, and page rank. This new resource, ArticleSense, seems like a great way to get tons of backlinks across many different IPs - I say “seems” only because I haven’t actually had time to test and track it yet. As usual, I would never recommend a paid product to my readership that I haven’t given a thorough testing on my own, but with free products there’s no risk, so I want to give my readers the heads up ASAP.

Basically, the way that it works is that when you submit an article, an original version is posted at the main website and excerpts are posted across a directory of different sites, with links pointing back to the main site. This helps to promote the main article. In addition, your author’s bio box also gets posted across 1/3 of those sites, so you get direct backlinks there.

Another cool little bell and whistle is that you can include Google Video or YouTube code, and it will stay with the article excerpts across the directory.

This is a really cool tool - rather than a static landing page, it allows you to create a fun quiz that is applicable to your niche. You define the questions and you define the analysis.

What makes it a landing page (or a squeeze page, if you will…) is that, after filling out their answers to the quiz, your prospect needs to enter their name and email address to have the results emailed to them. However, we know that the further invested a person is into a process the more likely they are to go farther (incrementally increasing upsells, anyone???).

I haven’t gotten a chance to try it out yet, I only downloaded it today. And while I wouldn’t recommend a product that costs money to you without trying it and loving it myself, I wanted to get the news out to you about this free tool as quickly as possible…even if that means I haven’t implemented it myself yet!

The latest widget that Myspace has added to the user backend is a fun little thing called “Status and Mood.”

It allows a user to choose from a drop-down menu of pre-filled in “Status” text or fill in their own. You then get to choose a “Mood” and accompanying Smilie.

It populates just above your Mailbox Notifications, as you can see in this screenshot of my admin panel, so it will be getting maximum exposure!

Here’s where it really gets interesting, though…and useful for us marketers! See that text that says, “View my Friends Status Updates”?

Here’s what you see when you click that:

It’s a list, complete with profile icons, of all your Status Updates of all of your friends. This is a great way to remind people that you are on their friends lists! Particularly now that bulletins are largely ignored by most users, this has the potential to be a REALLY useful tool.

Another benefit is that because you can’t put a link or a long message that would be conducive to spamming, these will likely be more genuinely used by true members of the site who are interested in keeping up with their friends list, therefore much more likely to be taken seriously by users.

This doesn’t, however, mean that you can’t use it to build buzz or generate traffic back to your page from your friends list. Myspace populates the “{Your Username} is” part and you fill in the rest.

So how about messages like: Melanie is…

- excited about her latest blog post!
- missing her friends…leave me a comment, guys!
- stoked because she just put a new video on her page!

The possibilities abound! I love this tool because it’s so “Networking Friendly” and so “Spamming UN-friendly.” Myspace has HUGE profit potential when you use it for what it’s intended for - to network - and this is a great tool.

Lastly, the myspace crowd is fickle and likely will be bored with this in a couple of months…if I were you, I’d jump on this widget while it’s the hot new thing!
