And that’s probably exactly how she’d express it, too. 
And when I say she kicks our asses, it’s a helluva beat-down, too. She takes in well over $70,000 a month, and Whateverlife‘s traffic level requires seven dedicated servers. SEVEN DEDICATED SERVERS!
*sigh*
I dream of the day that I will require seven dedicated servers.
The awesome thing, though, is that I think we IMers can learn a thing or two from young Ms. Qualls.
First of all, she never went into it to make money. She simply wanted to share her designs. Therefore, she didn’ t create her site with the “How can I set this up to sell something? Where can i put the adsense to get the best CTR?” mentality. She just created a place she loved and people ended up loving to go there.
Secondly, she never got stuck in a label for herself or her site. She created a brand and evolved it, far past myspace layouts now. She has html website builder tutorials, an online magazine, and is soon launching a cell phone wallpaper service (a stroke of absolute freaking genius, IMO).
Way to go, Ashley Qualls! You may not have set out to be an “Internet Marketing Chick”, but you became an FLIPPING AMAZING one!
